Cash for Annuities

May 10th, 2009 by Administrator

Generally, people from middle-class families think that their financial needs will not be met after retirement just through a pension fund or other employment related financial benefits. Therefore, they look into investing in annuity plans. Annuities provide a fixed income paid at regular intervals over a specified period of time. An annuity is like a contract between the annuity buyer and an institution like an insurance company aimed at providing regular, additional income. On the other hand, a Structured Settlement System is the compensation agreement between a plaintiff and the insurance company (defendant) for the periodic, long term and tax-free payments instead of a lump sum payment for personal injuries.

There are basically two categories of annuities namely “immediate” and “deferred”. In the case of immediate annuities, the frequency of making periodic payments is very high. With deferred annuities, are “fixed deferred” annuities and “variable differed”. Fixed annuities offer guaranteed income to the annuitant for a fixed time period. The rate of return depends on the cash value of the account and the life expectancy. The company invests in low risk government securities and bonds that guarantees a rate of return.

The rate of return on variable annuities depends on the performance of the underlying investments of the annuity. However, people prefer variable annuity as excess income and the total premium is tax-free. The possibility of achieving long-term returns is higher in the case of variable annuities when compared to fixed annuities. Even for retired people who look for a tax-free regular income after retirement variable annuities is a good way to go.

However, before buying any type of annuity, the buyer should obtain information about the insurance company that is being considered. The company performance is important. Buyers can contact annuity brokers or agents to discuss options.

Cash For Annuities provides detailed information about cash for annuities, annuity brokers, annuity buyers, annuity payments and more. Cash For Annuities is the sister site of Senior Settlements Info.

Can A Golf Tip Online Help Your Game

May 10th, 2009 by Administrator

A golf tip online can save you hours out of your schedule, but can it really help your game? With more and more people getting Internet connections, golfers are flocking to the Internet in hopes to find tips, techniques and even total golf performance programs to save their golf game.

There are many concerns with taking a golf tip online and hoping it will be the silver bullet to your game. Always consider the source of this golf tip. If you read an article like this one, or find some resource online, make sure to read the resource box at the bottom of the article.

Usually the article or resource will have a mini-bio of the person who authored the information with a link to either their site or some kind of indepth explanation of who the person is and what their credentials are.

Any golfer no matter what their ability or certifications can post a golf tip online via website, blog or article. On the Internet this is rampant! There are more so-called gurus than ever before. Every golfer probably has some valuable information they have to give, but if they are not qualified to give it, they should probably keep it for their own game.

With the Internet turning into more of a “pay-for-content” vehicle, there are many qualified people who are putting valuable golf tips online, along with reports, ebooks and even complete membership sites like my Golf-Trainer.com site that has been on the net for over 5 years now. Since then, I have seen many imitation sites and products, which is one huge drawback of the web.

Web surfers would never know what reports, ebooks and membership sites are the most credible and original in format and effectiveness. I am always hesitant with reading any golf tip online until I thoroughly look into the person behind the product. How long have they been in their profession? What successes have they helped create? And if you can personally talk to several people who have purchased and benefited from their products?

In researching these products and programs, read all the copy on the site. You will read some pretty amazing stuff that’s hard to swallow. These claims seem impossible when you look at how long they’ve been on the net and how many so-called golfers they’ve helped. Just do some math and you’ll find that these numbers are most likely false.

The bottom line with any golf tip online is if it does in fact help your game. If it does, you will most likely tell other golfing friends about it and the website and business will be successful just from word-of-mouth.

And one last piece of advice. Any person or business giving golf tips online should be reachable. You should easily be able to find their contact information, including phone number. When I answer my phone, people are shocked! I ask them why, and they say they didn’t think there was a “real person” behind it.

That’s a sad situation that shows the skepticism of web visitors. If you have to look hard for the contact information, I would not recommend using or purchasing any golf tips or programs online.

I don’t want to deter you, but just do a little homework when searching for a golf tip online.

2006 Colorado Rockies Preview

May 6th, 2009 by Administrator

2005 Overview:

The Colorado Rookies suffered through a tough 95 loss season ending the year 15 games behind the NL West Champion San Diego Padres. The 2005 offense was led by 1st baseman Todd Helton (.320 20 79), outfielder Dustan Mohr (.214 17 38), and the young 3rd baseman Garrett Atkins (.287 13 89). Shortstop Clint Barmes (.289 10 46) and Matt Holliday (.307 19 87) also contributed to the lineup.

The 2005 Rockies pitching was as thin as the air in their home stadium, Coors Field. Beyond youngster Jeff Francis (14-12 5.68) and Aaron Cook (7-2 3.67) the rest of the starting pitching suffered to provide quality starts throughout the entire year. Starters Jamey Wright (8-16 5.46), Byung-Hyun Kim (5-12 4.86) and Jason Jennings (6-9 5.02) all failed to impress. On the upside, closer Brian Fuentes (2-5 2.91 31 saves) did manage to convert 31 saves in 34 save opportunities, and was an impressive 14 out of 14 in save opportunities at Coors Field. Not an easy task when a pitcher is required to close games in a stadium that is notorious for late inning comebacks and blown saves.

Off Season Moves:

The Colorado Rockies didn’t make many moves in the off season. They did however add some veteran experience to the bullpen by signing free agent closer Jose Mesa (2-8 4.76). The Rockies also re-signed starter Byung-Hyun Kim and reliever Mike DeJean (5-4 4.48) plus traded for St. Louis left hander Ray King (4-4 388). Catcher Yorvit Torrealba (.234 3 15) was also picked up in order to upgrade the position.

2006 Analysis:

Growing pains are to be expected with a team this young. Rockie fans need to be patient and allow youngsters such as third baseman Atkins, and shortstop Barmes the time they need to grow into their positions. Look for right fielder Brad Hawpe (.262 9 47) and outfielders Matt Holliday and Dustin Mohr to be expected to contribute more in 2006. Both players proved they were capable of handling major league pitching during the 2005 season and both are expected to be an important part of the Rockies future.

Colorado is reluctant to abandon their game plan and with so many young prospects no one can blame them. Management remained overly cautious in the off season and passed by the opportunity to add a bunch of new faces.

One newcomer to the pitching staff will be pitcher Ray King. He will help, but the starting rotation shouldn’t be expected to provide much better numbers then they did in 2005. Francis and Cook should start more in 2006 and the Rockies closer Brian Fuentes ended the season very strong. In August and September Fuentes was an impressive 15 for 15 in save opportunities. The Rockies are looking for a few breaks to go there way and if the starting pitching can impress the offense should be able to score runs. The Rockies are still a few years and starting pitchers away to be considered a legitimate contender for a division title or wildcard spot.

Jack Scrafford recommends PlatinumTickets to buy Colorado Rockies tickets. See www.platinumtickets.com/mlb/colorado_rockies_tickets.html for more information.

The Whales Are Coming to Hervey Bay

May 4th, 2009 by Administrator

Yep the northward migration of the humpback whales is in full swing again and the first whales should head up the east coast of Fraser Island around May 8 or 9. Of course we won’t see them here in Hervey Bay till for a while yet because they only come into the bay here on their way home to Antarctica.

Right now they’re headed north to the warmer waters to the north to breed and to give birth but when they turn south they always stop off in the calm waters of Hervey Bay to rest and play before the long trip south. Here in Hervey Bay whale tours during July through to October are one of the biggest tourist attractions and the town really comes alive for the whale season.

Despite the fact that Hervey Bay has numerous motels, resorts and apartments to cater for the rush during the whale season finding a resort or apartment that’s right for you can be a problem. However, the local online business directory has a comprehensive list of all the Hervey Bay resorts and apartments along with links to all their websites.

So if you’re coming to Hervey Bay to watch the whales play check out the resorts and apartment listing on the Hervey Bay Business Directory and find the details you need to book ahead. Here are two links for more information about Hervey Bay and Hervey Bay news and information.

Online Article Writing; Picking Topics is as Easy as A-B-C

May 2nd, 2009 by Administrator

If you are an online writer and find yourself running out of subjects to write about let me tell you a little secret. Use the A-B-Cs, that is how I do it. Recently someone commented about me writing articles on Abatement issues since I wrote 50 articles on the subject, I still have 60 more to finish this week on the topic and of course one has to do a little bit of studying to insure you get the subject correct in fact.

Why would someone write a subject on Abatement issues unless they were some sort of Abatement Consultant? Well, I must tell you about the Abatement thing; you are going to chuckle. Actually abatement starts with AB. I wrote about Aardvarks, Absorption, abstracts, academia, artificial intelligence. It is a side project of mine when I run out of things to write about. Start with the “A’s” work to the “Z’s” I recently pulled out the dictionary and wrote down potential words from A-C and then I have taken those and strung them together in as many possible configurations adding in a few other words.

Of course then I have to go back to titles with A-A-B-D words in them and then A-B-C-C and then A-B-C-D you see? Eventually getting to A-Z-Z-Z if possible and then onto the “B’s”. Whenever it is time to find new material, just run through mankind’s English alphabet? Interesting isn’t it. Of course with varied hobbies, observations, business, politics, etc. well there is always something else to write about, but if one gets stuck it is as simple as A-B-C.
