France Telecom’s Orange Tops YouGov Poll Again

December 4th, 2009 by Administrator

France Telecom’s primary brand Orange has once again proved its might in the YouGov study conducted recently. The survey, which aims to assess the performance of providers across the UK over a range of parameters, has once more declared Orange a leader with nine firsts out of a total fifteen categories.

The YouGov Dongle Tracker survey is conducted every quarter and it assesses providers across parameters like value for money, coverage, ease of use and quality. Over 4,000 users were surveyed from 6th to 12th October this year to collect data pertaining to the study. This was the sixth such survey conducted by YouGov.

In the survey, Orange topped the scores in categories like ease of use and value for money. According to company sources, this success is because of the company’s new software that allows customers greater control over internet spending, as it alerts beforehand when a customer is approaching end of usage limits. Another feature that Orange has introduced is the monthly limit on extra use billing to a manageable £40.

Asif Aziz, the Director of Broadband and Home at Orange UK operations, has reiterated the company’s continued commitment to providing innovative and unique products for customers and has said that achievements such as these encourage the efforts of the company and inspire it to greater heights. The company’s customer-centric policy is quite evident in its latest advertising slogan “You’re Covered”.

On the downside, 3 has filed a formal complaint with the Advertising Standards Authority disputing Orange’s claim that it is the largest mobile operator in the UK.

If you are not yet aware of the benefits of Mobile Broadband, a dedicated mobile broadband site is a good stop for a quick read-up on the recent bundle incentives being offered by the ISPs, where you can get a mobile broadband dongle, a fixed line connection and receive a free laptop at the same time.
