Be sure to get adequate sleep. One reason for puffy under eyes is that you’re just not getting enough sleep, or the quality of the sleep you’re getting is not ideal. Puffiness under the eyes is a very commonplace symptom of sleep privation.

Watch your salt intake. A high consumption of sodium can cause you to retain fluid. Try using less salt and see if that cuts down your swollen eyes.

Drink more water! A significant number of people prone to puffy eyes are normally dehydrated. If you have puffy eyes, you probably need to drink more water. Go for one gallon a day or at least 3 quarts. Make it water or herbal tea. Sweet, flavored or fizzy drinks aren’t in truth hydrating. If you drink coffee or alcohol on a regular basis, you will need to drink an extra glass of water for every glass of wine or cup of coffee.

Raise your head as you sleep. It’s not unusual to have puffy eyes in the morning. One reason for this might be that when you are laying down for several hours in a level position and then stand up, the fluid that is residing under your eyes is abruptly being forced down by gravity. This puffiness should subside shortly. In order to prevent morning puffy eyes, is to lift your head while sleeping so that the fluid is not as drastically forced down when you get up.

Drink cranberry or cabbage juice. These vegetables are natural diuretics, which will help you some surplus fluid. Other diuretics include the herbs uva ursi and golden rod.

Give yourself additional physical activity. Exercise naturally improves circulation, which will help your body to move fluid through your body, rather than allowing it accumulate.
